Fundraiser
It’s Polar Plunge time again!
Every year we join the Chesapeake Climate Action Network(CCAN) and other plunge teams for our one large fundraiser of the year. This year we have our largest plunge team ever with 9 members. and we’re currently the leading team!
Thanks to Loudoun’s previous generosity, we’ve been able to make a lot of progress in the past year on our initiative areas. We’ve placed more air monitors and have more on the way. We’ve gone out into the community to collect signatures on the Resilience and Sustainability Resolution for All to Thrive in Loudoun County and are now up to 23 organizational co-signers and over 300 individual signatures (all collected in-person). We’ve remained a vigilant partner with statewide nonprofits and front-line community groups fighting to stop the Mountain Valley Pipeline and played an active role in stopping rollbacks of critical regulation intended to protect people from terrible projects like the MVP. Your donations to our polar plunge are tax deductible and support Loudoun Climate Project as well as CCAN, an organization we work with regularly and Bill McKibben has called “The most effective regional climate group”.
